<p>General Introduction to Microstation V8 for Signalling Design covering general 2D draughting tools and best practices for producing standards-compliant circuit design that meets Records Group acceptance criteria.</p>
<p>There are no pre-requisites for the course although familiarity with Microstation would be beneficial.</p>
<p>There will not be a formal assessment but drawings produced during the course will be checked to verify delegates’ understanding of the modules.</p>
Audience
The course is aimed at signalling engineering personnel and trainees who are either new to Microstation V8 or who feel they would benefit from formal training to improve their detailed design skillset.

Signalling Design Checking Course
Course Description
<p>To equip Signal Design Engineers to carry out effective checking of signalling designs.</p>
<p>Upon successful completion of the course delegates will have knowledge of the correct procedures and standards to follow when checking signalling designs. Delegates will also be able to identify and record errors and mistakes in signalling designs and record these appropriately in accordance with standards and procedures. This knowledge and skill will augment delegates' existing signalling design skills.</p>
<p>Mentoring Arrangements:</p>
<ul>
<li>Mentoring of delegates who have successfully completed the course will be in accordance with existing mentoring requirements of the Signalling Design Group, which will take account of the individual's existing skills and experience and IRSE licence holding. SDG Line Managers are responsible for determining the competency levels and mentoring requriements of their staff.</li>
