Active Safety Management

Course Description

This Active Safety Management one day workshop has been designed to support groups of key influencers who are actively involved in safety and sit in the middle of our organisation. These are people whose thinking and behaviour has a significant impact on those who are at most risk of injury on the railway, including Section Managers, Shift Signaller Managers, Mobile Operations Managers, Local Operations Managers, Track Maintenance Engineers, Engineers and Team Leaders. It is designed for groups of people whose behaviour and decisions impact on each other, increasing understanding about this impact and breaking down any real or perceived barriers between them. It will support them in developing a fair culture, where everyone holds each other accountable for safety and reports anything that has the potential to cause injury or damage. Although it is driven by a need to reduce safety incidents and injuries it also supports health and wellbeing, diversity and inclusion and staff engagement.
