Mobile Operations Manager (MOM)
This 4 week course covers both the track safety and operational competences required to undertake the duties of a Mobile Operations Manager, specifically: PTS, Lookout/Sitewarden, COSS, Points Operator, Route Setting Agent, Handsignaller, Temporary Block Working, Level Crossing Attendant, Bridge Strike Nominee, Rail Defect Nominee, Pilotman, Preliminary Investigation and Rail Incident Officer 1.
The course includes written tests and attendees are subject to continuous tutor assessments. Anyone wishing to attend this course must have PTS medical certification. Please note that line managers must complete a COSS behavioural pre-training evaluation for candidates prior to COSS training, and the results must be recorded on the NCCA website. Failure to comply with this instruction will result in delegates being refused entry to the course.
For operational grades that are moving into the role of a Mobile Operations Manager, or for people who are joining the organisation directly into this position.
