Basic Microstation for Signalling DesignCourse Description
General Introduction to Microstation V8 for Signalling Design covering general 2D draughting tools and best practices for producing standards-compliant circuit design that meets Records Group acceptance criteria. There are no pre-requisites for the course although familiarity with Microstation would be beneficial. There will not be a formal assessment but drawings produced during the course will be checked to verify delegates’ understanding of the modules.Audience

At the end of the training the delegate will be able to: Obtain sufficient information to understand clearly the RSEs requirements. Ensure that the technical requirements are clear and specified and that the information contains all the essential data Identify and deal promptly and effectively with any problems occurring with the requirements and their interpretation. Establish which design methods; materials; formats and conventions are to be used for the design. Identify which requirements can be met by standard equipment, conventions and protocol and specify as appropriate Check and confirm resources identified are appropriate.Audience
Delegates shall be able to read and interpret signalling diagrams and control tables with a minimum of 5 years experience in a Signalling Faulting and Maintenance environment at supervisory or Technical Support level.Duration:
