Project Management

Project Management

Course Name

Sponsoring Successful Projects

Course Description

The State of Project Management 2021 Report states “poorly trained Project Sponsors” as one of the top 10 challenges for organizations, a consistent response for many years.

There is typically a focus on training those asked to undertake the role of Project Manager, with little emphasis on those setting strategy direction and governing projects. The role of Project Sponsor is not the same as line management and those given this role must understand the responsibilities it brings.

This course enables Project (& Programme) Sponsors to gain a full understanding of their role and responsibilities as defined by the APM. It enables Sponsors to also gain a much clearer appreciation of what to expect from their Project Manager and how the role of Sponsor is critical to project team success.
